The 28th International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports (IAW) in Cologne in the coming autumn will take place from 19–21 September. As was the case with the last autumn event, the IAW will run from Wednesday through to Friday, a departure from the usual schedule due to the large number of events taking place at this time of the year. Halls 6 and 9 at the Cologne Exhibition Centre offer a total display area of around 30,000 m² for a unique range of promotional products and goods for impulse sales, as well as trend-led and fast-selling articles. The IAW is Europe’s leading event for the trade for orders of all types of products at the best possible price.
With its promise of the „best deals in retail“ the 28th International Trade Fair for Retail Promotions and Imports will attract suppliers, manufacturers, importers and buyers in the online, retail and wholesale sectors from all over the world. In figures this amounts to more than 350 exhibitors from numerous countries and an estimated 9,000 trade visitors – a result that will resonate around the entire sector internationally. Exhibitor and visitor numbers are impressive, and so too is the diversity. Buyers can expect to find products in almost every category: food and beverages, cosmetics, beauty and care products, textiles, household goods, electrical / electronic products, toys / games, trend-led merchandise and private label products. Each segment is well represented and catered for. At the last IAW, service providers in the e-commerce sector were also to be found in increased numbers.
E-commerce, as well as sales and marketing, is one of the areas that features prominently in the event‘s first-class supporting program. Many well-known experts and top professionals make regular appearances as keynote speakers in the panel discussions and talks, providing visitors with useful insights into day-to-day business and practical tips. Admission in all cases is free of charge. An additional major highlight is the now traditional IAW Trendseller Product Award, which celebrates the most promising products exhibited at the trade fair as selected by a panel of experts.
