The new-look IAW is now THE marketplace for top buyers from Germany and across Europe

It was an inspired move: the two biggest trade shows for promotional products and quality imports, IAW (Cologne) and Goodies XXL (Düsseldorf), have merged into one big event. As a consequence the new-look IAW, which now takes place from 20 to 22 September 2011, is almost fully booked.

The IAW is the foremost trade fair for orders of promotional and trend-led products and volume business in Europe. Twice a year more than 220 exhibitors and some 7,000 buyers from across Europe grab this unique opportunity to discover the latest trends in retailing and to do business with each other. The next show runs from 20 to 22 September 2011.

The decision to merge IAW (Cologne) and Goodies XXL (Düsseldorf) will effectively create one single, more powerful platform for the entire sector. The driving force behind this development and its realization is the company responsible for the IAW Fair, Nordwestdeutsche Messegesellschaft Bremen-Hannover mbH in Oldenburg. “We are very pleased by the successful outcome of this merger”, says director Ulrich Zimmermann. “Thanks to the support of the organizers of Goodies XXL, we are now in a position to substantially extend our offerings and services to exhibitors and buyers. It’s a real bonus for all concerned.” And the new concept has delivered the goods: even at this early stage the display space allocated to the IAW fair is almost fully booked, as many exhibitors have decided to increase their stand size. In addition to the companies who are established regulars at the event, over thirty bookings have already been received from new exhibitors, including big-name companies from Germany, France, Croatia, Poland and the USA.

There has been keen interest in the special introductory offer for first-time exhibitors. For new exhibitors the cost of renting stand space at IAW will also cover stand assembly and a comprehensive PR package. So new exhibitors from Germany and other countries will be able to try out the 14th IAW Fair as a showcase and platform for their companies – with no financial risk involved.

Apart from the markedly wider variety of promotional products, quality imports and fast-selling, bargain-priced merchandise on display, the event also hosts an extensive supporting program based in the Trend Forum and the presentation of the ninth IAW “Trendseller” Product Award – plus a number of other highlights that underscore the quality and professionalism of the IAW fair.
